  I have been trying to set up a trust account to qualify my elderly mother for Medicaid. It turns out I have to go to Alabama (where she lives) to set up the account, but the people at First Bank did everything they could to help me figure out the detailed and complicated procedures. They made numerous phone calls to banks, both in Colorado and in Alabama, in order to sort it out. Their service and courtesy is amazing. Highly recommended.

  The people are nice enough, if a little pushy (for Boulder). The problem is that their 'free checking' [with big 'free checking!' ads still all over the front of their offices] is only free if you keep doing 'things' with your account. If you just leave it in the bank, they will, and without notification, start deducting $10/month from your account. We both left a couple of hundred dollars in our accounts - only to come back a year or two later and hers was empty and mine headed that way fast.

  This is one of the friendliest banks I have ever been to. Unlike other banks, I never have to wait in line.
